General Information and Headcanon

Disclaimer: As a lot of Silent Hill is open to interpretation and we don't always get exact details (and of course they don't really talk much about some characters pasts) a lot of general information is going to be headcanon. Especially for Harry's past, and his life prior to what they mention in the first game.

 

 

Born: January 31st, 1958
Died: October 2007 (Somehow still alive in Route)
Marital Status: Widower
- Jodie Mason (1958-1986) Married for Nine Years.
Occupation: Professional father Writer, formally true crime, then mysteries and horror fiction after Silent Hill.

Jodie Mason: Harry met her in his sophomore year of high school and they fell in love. They married at 19.

As stated Harry used to write non fiction, mostly about true crime. However he stopped this after going through Silent Hill. Mostly because he'd seen so much real horror he didn't want to write real horror anymore.

He had always been a sci fi/horror/mystery fiction fan growing up and so he turned his writing towards fiction.

He now wrote under multiple pen names though. Especially after the cult came after them and they went on the run.

Harry wrote a series of mystery books about a detective that is heavily based on Cybil Bennett, only with a different name of course.

While he still enjoys reading and watching horror, he finds it harder to write horror...actually he finds it easy to write horror, far too easy. When he does write it, he becomes more liable to have nightmares and be reminded of Silent Hill. He would often be even more overprotective during those time periods

Harry would often stay up late writing and it wasn't uncommon for Heather to come downstairs and find him asleep at his desk. He pushed himself to write enough to make a living for them from it.
