General Information and Headcanon
Disclaimer: As a lot of Silent Hill is open to interpretation and we don't always get exact details (and of course they don't really talk much about some characters pasts) a lot of general information is going to be headcanon. Especially for Harry's past, and his life prior to what they mention in the first game.

Died: October 2007 (Somehow still alive in Route)
Marital Status: Widower
- Jodie Mason (1958-1986) Married for Nine Years.
Occupation:Professional father Writer, formally true crime, then mysteries and horror fiction after Silent Hill.
Jodie Mason: Harry met her in his sophomore year of high school and they fell in love. They married at 19.

Headcanon | Family
His mother however was a hard worker and pulled them together as a family. She worked part time jobs to support the two of them. He had a happy childhood and a lot of what he learnt about being a good parent came from his mother.
His mother died two years after he married Jodie, when he was 21.
Headcanon | Childhood Stories
They saved their money and at the end of October, one night Harry was over at Jack's house while his mother was at work. Rosemary was "officaly" babysitting them but mostly ignoring them. They were supposed to be watching tv but snuck away to the basement where they set up a fake horror scene with tomato juice and red paint they'd bought. Jack screamed to get his sisters attention and when she came down they acted like zombies.
However Rosemary freaked out seeing the pair with their fake injuries and fake blood and ran outside calling for help.
Harry's mother came back from work to discover them covered in red paint and tomato juice, with the police there in the middle of the street. Needless to say, Harry got a very public, loud lecture and was grounded for a month, missing Halloween, which he thought was the worst part.
Also had to clean the basement but they never got all the red out.

He almost got in trouble once when he tried to stay in the library over night (he wanted to read and also Jack bet him fifty cents that he couldn't) Luckily the librarian vouched that he was the sort of kid that was there to just read more and not to steal things.
Headcanon | Writing
He had always been a sci fi/horror/mystery fiction fan growing up and so he turned his writing towards fiction.
He now wrote under multiple pen names though. Especially after the cult came after them and they went on the run.
Harry wrote a series of mystery books about a detective that is heavily based on Cybil Bennett, only with a different name of course.
While he still enjoys reading and watching horror, he finds it harder to write horror...actually he finds it easy to write horror, far too easy. When he does write it, he becomes more liable to have nightmares and be reminded of Silent Hill. He would often be even more overprotective during those time periods
Harry would often stay up late writing and it wasn't uncommon for Heather to come downstairs and find him asleep at his desk. He pushed himself to write enough to make a living for them from it.
Headcanon | Interests
Heather explained the internet to him. He still doesn't like the idea much of it though the part he didn't like much was the possibility of the cult using it to locate them.
He's good at word puzzles and like to do crosswords.
His wife Jodie was an artist and while he claims his own is terrible. His drawings aren't that bad. He's just more interested in the writing side of things to take the time to practise.
Harry will often drink coffee.
Headcanon | The Order
However it was through this research that he managed to locate and aquire a crystal tablet of Aglaophotis to put in a locket for his daughter.
