[Harry Mason is sitting under a tree. Harry Mason looks quite tired...well still tired, and a little wet. Lisa the Togepi is sleeping peacefully in the bag. She's had a rough few days. Or at least some interesting ones. Harry has as well.
Which is why he's turning on the video link. Have an awkward smile.]
Well camping's taking a little time to get used to. I don't suppose I might be able to get some tips from people who've been at it longer? I don't think I've been camping for

....well it was a while ago.
[He glances over to the bag where Lisa is.]
Oh and anyone who was telling me my Togepi would surprise me. You were definilty right....I did not see that coming.
Ah...on that note. When the attacking...mons- pokemon...collapses like that...it's alright to just leave them there, right? [People might assume he was worried about the creatures safety. He's more worried about whether or not he should have made sure it was dead.]

...a giant dog.
Heather, you hate dogs.
[No duh Harry. But he's really just stating that because....wth]
Yeeeeeeep.
N'that's not the only thing I hate.
[As if on cue (because timing like this only existed in sitcoms and the Pokemon world, apparently), the dog's snout crinkles before it sneezes explosively. ... Literally, considering a small tongue of flame licks the air in the process.]
[You can pretty much HEAR Heather facepalming.]
...they gave you a fire breathing dog.
[Seriously? Could they not find any other phobia his daughter had, to shove in there as well? He'd like to have "words" with whoever was in charge of this.]
[And if Heather was going to be entirely honest with herself, she was still a little bit miffed about that. ... Granted, she'd had more than enough time to at least get mostly used to it. Enough that the slobbery menace had become a friend rather than something to keep stuffed into one of those balls as much as possible. But... still.]
[The only other things it needed was to be a fire-breathing dog with a mirror for a face and they'd pretty much have all the bases covered.]
... I named him Cujo.
[If ANYONE was going to be able to appreciate that reference, it was gonna be her dad.]
How is he?
Well. I've had a year to get used to him.
... S'probably the only dog I'll ever tolerate. Dumb as a sack of bricks.
[... But there WAS something akin to affection in her tone. She had learned to appreciate the mutt, after all.]
He's too stupid to hurt anything.
... Well, 'cept for ... y'know, in battle.
[Proud daddy is proud of you.]
How have you been doing?
[In between the many times they've probably checked in on each other since he first arrived.]
Yeah, he's... I don't mind him so much. [That wasn't to say she still didn't get some serious fight-or-flight reactions when he greeted her too enthusiastically, or when he got overexcited and nippy-- but eh. He was all right, even with the fire. It was kinda nice to have a living heater around to use as a pillow on cold winter nights.]
I should warn you, though, he's... uh, he gets really excited around new people. [The lazy creature lying on the floor was just an example of what Cujo was like BETWEEN wild spells-- when it came to the speed at which he could dash around the room in an excited frenzy, he could go from zero to batshit in about .5 seconds.]
But YEAH, I'm good! [You bet. Heather was grateful for the opportunities to continually confirm that he was HERE.] I've been getting packed. M'leaving in the morning.
[He'll try not to attack your dog if it jumps him. He really will.]
That's good.
Alright. I'll continue travelling then. We'll meet somewhere along here.
We can figure out where to meet when I get closer.
[She's... done this before, so-- ... she's the general timeline more or less worked out in her mind.]
That's true.
Oh you were right about the owls by the way.
UGH! Aren't they awful?!
My first night in this place, I thought like-- ... some... grandma demon had snuck up on me and was standing at the end of my sleeping bag and screaming her brains out.
[And she had thrown every pick-uppable object within arm's reach of her sleeping bag in that general direction before she realized that there was no creepy grandma demon.]
I didn't know owls could make those noises.
[She'd captured it solely for the sake of shutting it up.]
I suppose nature is just something else strange about this place.
[Most of the monsters from New Bark to Violet were all pretty small and relatively harmless-- ... e-except for the Beedrill. Erk. She'd better warn him about those later...]
But otherwise, how're you farin'?
