Search Fourteen: Writer Warning [Video | Action for Goldenrod]
[The screen flickers to life with Harry sitting on a chair with a Togetic on the table. Yup, someone evolved. Lisa is looking quite pleased as she stands on the table attempting to jump on a laptop.]
Well it seems someone's grown up. I'm still not really sure how these things work but she evolved this morning.
I was going to ask something else but I think Lisa wanted some attention.
[Given that she jumps up on his shoulder and stares at the camera, that would be a yes. After a moment of trying to stop Lisa from jumping on his head, he'll remember he had the camera on.]
Right, I was going to ask. Are there any writers here? I'm sure I can't be the only one.
[Action: Inn Room]
[After the post to the network Harry is going back to his normal work. Writing.
Or at least trying to as Lisa is still attempting to jump on the laptop. The normally calm pokemon is quite excited today it seems.]
[Action: Goldenrod]
[Harry is out for a walk with a Pichu and a Darumaka running in front of him. It's a nice day and he's enjoying his day off from work. He's also trying to keep an eye on them, but they keep running off to examine everything and everyone. If you suddenly see a pokemon poking your leg or investigating your shoe, it's probably one of them. You might also see Harry calling over to them]
I said no running off guys!

They have a habit for running off, do they?
[action]
[action]
[It's a small joke.]
[action]
[Smiles at that.]
[action]
[He looks down at the small group of pokémon by his feet and makes a small shooing sound to get their attention. Back to their owner, maybe?]
[action]
What brings you to Goldenrod?
[action]
[For Hiccup's and Albert's sake moreso than his, but all the same. and a bit more serious,]
How have you been doing?
[action]
Pretty good. I've been working a bit while we're here.
Things have certainly calmed down more.
[action]
I'm happy to hear that.
[A beat.] How's Heather?
Re: [action]
Have you spoken to her recently?
[action]
[Not since that text conversation. It kind of hits him now that a fair lot of time has passed since then, and he sighs quietly.]
I'll be sure to get in touch with her soon. [Tomorrow.]
[action]
When was the last time you talked to her?
[action]
[Slight ... cringe, it's really been a while. It just ...]
[action]
Did the two of you have an argument?
[action]
[They didn't fight. But he'd still like to clear it up.]
[action]
[action]
[He's not exactly angry anymore and takes care to not be judgmental, especially in front of Harry - he knows he's also involved deeply in this, the story he knows he hasn't been told all about. But he still can't accept murder. And that's where the disagreement was.]
[action]
That's not surprising.
[Harry was more mad that she rushed off to confront Claudia because Heather could have been hurt. The fact that she was going to kill a cult member....it's very...complicated. He has no idea what he would do if Dahlia showed up, for example.]
This is something we've been wrapped up in for most of our lives. And unless you've actually ...been to that town and gotten involved...then it's hard to understand.
[Had she killed Claudia, would that be unforgivable. To Harry, no. Not at all. He's glad she didn't, because he feels some pity for the girl that grew up to be the cult member. But his daughter>anything else.]
[action]
[No, he has no idea what that town will do to you. But by his reasoning, well...]
I realize that I don't know the half of what you and your daughter have been through. But until I understand better I find that kind of action hard to forgive.
[He says this with a neutral tone, because he definitely doesn't want to fight Harry on this - he has a lot of respect for him and Heather.]
[action]
...it's one of the reasons I never went to the police after we escaped. No one would have believed me.
[They'd have taken the baby away from him and probably lock him up.]
But I can answer questions you have, if you want to know more.
[action]
[He does believe everything Heather has told him and he's hardly your average cop. And the thing that's sort of tragic is that Coop's boss would have believed them, too. But sadly there was obviously no way for them to get that far into the FBI without knowing the right people or the right people knowing what to look for. They would have been helped, otherwise.]
Thank you. But I think it's better if I talk to Heather first.
[action]
That's probably for the best. But if you want to talk after that, I don't mind.
[He hadn't even tried. Gods, cults, nightmarish worlds. It was hard enough to continue living a normal ish life with a baby that by all legal records was a seven year old girl.]
Well I hope your talk goes well. I'm probably a biased source, but she is a good kid.
[action]
I'll keep that in mind. [He's grateful and appreciates that. And smiles, some, as he continues.] I can't fault you for that. She is, and I care about her very much.
[That hasn't changed, no matter what details arose.]
[action]
[Very good.]
So has the bug catching contest happened yet?
