[Harry does ...not look happy. He's tired, worried.....But he knows Heather has a lot of friends here.]

This is Harry Mason. My daughter Heather had her soul stolen. She's asleep in our hotel room right now.

I just thought her friends should know.

[Oh Harry, so awkward. He sighs and turns off the video.

A. Sitting in the hotel room looking at his daughter asleep on the bed.

B. In the front of the hotel. There is a Togepi on his shoulder who is trying to cheer him up.

C. Walking back from getting food. Someone probably needed to remind him to eat. ]

I suppose that's put on hold being here now. You've been here for a while, what do you think of this place?

[ His answer is a most half-hearted shrug. He can never have a straight answer for this. ]

I have friends here. It's fun, and I like it... but there's something I have to do back in my world, too.

It must be important. Good luck with it.

[ beat ] It's the only thing I can do for him.

[ He nods. ] It was just the two of us. Nobody remembers that he died, but I won't forget.

[ Usually he isn't this talkative about Gregory's death, but Harry is a father and Harry is Heather's father. The talk just tumbles out. ] I'll catch the person who killed him.

[He nods, suddenly serious.]

....Just remember, your father would want you to be safe more then anything.

... can't make promises to a dead man, but I'll remember.

Just because they're gone, it doesn't mean you can't make promises to them.

[While he had been lost in Silent Hill, he'd promised his wife he'd find Cheryl....he had. In a way.]

[ He doesn't answer that.

A part of him thinks that Gregory hates him. ]

No. It wouldn't.

Miles, I didn't know your father but that is the last thing any father would want.

The last thing I--or any child--wanted was for my father to die, too. It isn't a matter of what we want.

But my father was someone the world needed.

[A sigh, and Harry looks at Miles.]

He may have been needed, and life isn't fair. But if you spend your life mulling over what should have happened and wishing that it had been you instead, then the world loses two people instead of one.

You still have your own future. One you can use to help people and become someone the world needs.

[ He just frowns, because he doesn't believe it. ]

I know what I'm talking about.

... I'm just going to end up hurting more people.

[ He shakes his head, because he thinks it's stupid. His nightmares are always about his father dying, but lately other people have been getting twisted into it. He's never been able to stop seeing his best friend's bloody jacket ever since the first night-- ]
