Search Seventeen | Video | Action for Saffron City

[Video: The gear flickers to life and you'll first see the face of a Pichu as it pears down at the screen. However noting it's on, she turns it up and now you can see Harry Mason standing at the bottom of a tree. There seems to be a bug pokemon of some sort sitting on a branch.]

[Harry notices Hazel and picks up the Pichu and puts her on his shoulder taking the gear away from her.]

Sorry about that, but does anyone have advice on a ....Larvesta, I think it's called? I'm not really sure how it got up there, but it won't come down.

It hatched recently and ran off, I think one of the other pokemon must have scared it?

[Action: You can wander upon Harry, Hazel and the stubborn bug creature in the tree. Roommates, he said he went looking for a pokemon if you want to join in the search.]

Well, Larvesta's a fire and bug type. If you have any Pokemon it's weak to, such as water, flying, or especially rock, that might have been what frightened it of.

[Twilight tosses out a pokeball and her own Larvesta shows up. She pats it on the head as it stretches itself up to peer into the gear.]

If you'd like, I could try to have Pyrolepi here talk to it.

That's some kinda troublemaker you've got yourself here...

[Despite saying that, Crow doesn't look particularly bothered by the situation. He's here to help, after all, not panic!]

So we've just gotta bring it down from there, eh? No biggie! [With that, he reaches for a PokéBall on his belt.] It should be enough if one of my birds just takes it from here!

I could try talking to it? I can sorta understand Pokemon language.

It's possible. I travel with a few other people as well, so it could be any of those.

[Crow blinks in surprise. To be perfectly honest, the thought never even occurred to him.]

They ain't gonna eat it or something... But I've got a dragon, too, if that helps?

[Yeah, a dragon sounds so much better.]

_{[Henry shifts his weight from one foot to the other as he thinks about his options. Then, he doesn't bother thinking about them anymore and starts to bear-hug his way up the tree.]}

C'mere, little guy...Henry's got ya.

Alright. Pyrolepi, if you would?

[The giant caterpillar leans in to the gear in response and begins to squeak at it. The other Larvesta will hear a feminine voice asking:]

Little one, why do you flee?

Yeah. Not exactly a new thing for me though. I'm pretty good at picking up animal speech in general.

[It does! And it looks down at the gear. She's quiet but you should be able to hear her.]

[Oh Henry. The pokemon just looks down at you. Hey it's not attacking, that's a good sign, right?]

.....Okay maybe the bird would be better.

[Crow :|]

[At this point, he's not sure why he's surprised by things like that.]

Alright. Well if you want to try talking to it. That would be really helpful.

_{[Henry ignores adopted!dad's warning and when he finally gets close enough to the little bug pokemon to reach, he carefully leans out an arm.]}

[Dragons are fucking kawaii what is your problem.]

Gotcha! Alizé!

[He opens the PokéBall and a Swellow immediately appears in front of them, fluttering her wings.]

Get that little guy down from there, 'kay?

[The bird responds with a nod and quickly flies up to where the little bug is hiding.]

[And the small bug like thing stares at him.....and nope not going to move

But inches forward slightly. As though waiting to see if Henry is a big scary thing. Are you safe Mr. Man?]

[Oh god it's a monster! The little bug in question stares at the bird in horror and tries to avoid being picked up.

It ends up falling out of the tree instead.]

Don't you wanna go back to Mr. Mason? He likes you.

_{[Please go back little bug his arms are getting tired ;-;]}

[Waiting.....waiting....

Suddenly moves very quickly and there is a bug creature sitting on your head.

Hi Henry.]

_{[There is a sound humans make when things happen unexpectedly. It's hard to transcribe but it sounds something like:]}

_{[Followed by a thud as Henry fell from the branch. IT WAS IN HIS HAIR OH JESUS WHY BUGS]}

[It is nestled in your hair Henry! Harry rushes over.]

Are you alright?

_{[Henry just lays there like an un-shaven fallen fruit.]}

Here's your bug, Mr. Mason.

[The bug in question looks up at Harry and apparently this was a test, or something? The bug flies up and lands on Harry.

Who just sighs and pats it before leaning over to offer Henry a hand up as the bug flops to the ground.]
