Search Sixteen: Backdated to Christmas Day | Video | Action for roommates
[It's Christmas morning time in the small hotel room where team Silent is staying. Why are you seeing this now? Well, the gear has been taken captive by two pokemon. A Pichu and a Darumaka who you can see bits of as they figure out how to get the camera in the right spot. Once it is, you can also see a Hoot Hoot and a Woobat as well. But where is the gear pointing?
See Harry. See Harry asleep in a chair.
See four pokemon sneaking up on Harry. Climbing up the chair and....
JUMP
See Harry start awake as four pokemon follow the time honoured tradition that they'd heard of, which involves waking Harry up early on Christmas.
Luckily for his confusion, Lisa floats over and turns the gear off as he tries to figure out why there is a woobat on his head again. Roommates, feel free to notice the mess.]
-
[Later: Okay this time Harry is in control of that as he found out that his morning surprise had been taped as well. He has tea now though so things are a little bit better.]
Ah, sorry about that. ...I'm starting to think Pokemon are a lot like kids. ...in many ways.
[Right, um....yeah]
Oh right. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, or any other holiday, or just a good Tuesday as the case may be.
Oh, and did everyone get eggs? I'm hoping no one broke into the room to put them here, but knowing this world I wouldn't be surprised if it just appeared out of thin air.
Ah, anyway. Merry Christmas

[Speaking of eggs, Misaki had one in her lap as shown. At least the tip part of it.]
I think everyone got one this Christmas from what I heard of. Is this a normal thing? [Assuming he knew how everything works here.]
{Video}
Ah, so you received an egg too? That is... reassuring.
[He moves to pick up the egg he received.]
It's happened before. On Easter I believe it was.
{Video}
I have, and I know some other people who have as well.
[Action]
[This year, though, there's someone distinctly absent-- that someone being the person who woke him up early on Christmas morning all eighteen of the OTHER years.]
[Presumably he has to calm his various Pokemon down before even thinking about anything that involves 'Get the Woobat off of my head' or 'Stop Dolly from spinning around by the fragile decorative plant on the table', but should he investigate the lack of daughter, he'll find Heather ... still curled up in bed, half buried under a snoring Growlithe and a mass of striped fur that is probably Arty. Cheryl the Eevee is curled in a tiny ball next to her half-visible head.]
[Which is probably pretty weird, but ... well, depending on whether he leaves her there or not, she'll eventually emerge sometime after the sun has risen.]
[Action]
[He's surprised to find her still asleep. But decides to let her get her rest.]
[That being said, when she eventually wakes up and comes out of her room Harry will great her with some breakfast and also...]
Merry Christmas Cheryl. This is late for you.
Actually we didn't think you'd ever wake up, so we gave all your presents to Henry. You don't mind right?
It's happened before? Do you have an idea where they would've came from?
[Action]
Only if you don't mind me goin' over there and forcibly taking them back.
But we did get eggs last Easter that appeared from nowhere.
[Action]
It's still early to be fighting just yet.
Alright, we'll let you have them then. They're over there.
[Under the table or wherever seemed most Christmasy to put presents.]
[Action]
[Continuing to rub at her eyes, she straightens up and sits down on the end of one of the beds, setting the gifts down in her lap. Still bleary.]
[Action]
[Action]
These're for you.
Merry Christmas.
[Action]
Thank you sweetie.
[Looking at them. Well one looks book shaped, so that's promising....]
[Action]
[NASTY FOLKS, THOSE ROCKETS.]
[Meanwhile, Heather's started opening her own presents, smiling at the scarf at first in particular.]
{Video}
[Action]
These look really interesting. Thank you Cheryl.
[Woo books.]
[Action]
[She knew what kind of books he liked.]
[As she speaks, she tears the wrapping paper off of the larger package-- and stops, tilting her head a little curiously. It's not until she opens it up that she lets out a sort of '... oh' sigh.]
... Dad...
[Action]
Yes?
[Action]
Seriously, this is...
[Action]
You like it?
[He was a little worried that it might be a depressing gift, but he felt it was something she needed to have.]
[Action]
[Holding it to her chest, she leans over to give him a tight hug.]
[Action]
I'm glad.
{Video}
[He's always semi worried. But that's just him.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
Thank you.
[She can honestly say this rivals the locket.]
[Action]
[He is, and happy smile. And will continue to unwrap the pokeball shaped gift.]
[Action]
[... Which is good because honestly a single Pokeball is a pretty shitty Christmas present all by itself.]
[Action]
Should I be worried about what's in this?
[Action]
late tag of lateness
It's not going to be something larger then the room is it?
[Look, you never know.]
<33333
Just open it!
[Action]
[Opens pokeball.]
[Action]
[It blinks, then lifts one wing to preen.]
[Action]
....well it's not the size of the room.
[Action]
[Action]
You never know.
But thank you. Where did you get it?
[Action]
See, Dad, look, all your Pokemon are babies. You don't really let them fight much or train them at ALL.
What if something happens and I'm not around? The animals here aren't like the ones in Silent Hill, you can't fight all of 'em off with a stick.
[Action]
[He trains them....somewhat. Slowly....]
no subject
But having these things isn't just for sport, Dad! It's for protection too!
no subject
[:| He's still not sure.]
We get attacked by wild animals on our walks, does that count as training?
[Sob, he will be new to this no matter how long he's been here.]
no subject
Well... yeah, I mean, it's practice, but I'm just saying, Dad.
I want you to have at least ONE decently tough Pokemon on your team.
So...
[She gestures to the bird, which is now pecking around at the floor, seemingly unconcerned with either of them. The Pidgey line is pretty chill for the most part.]
no subject
Hmm...alright.
Well I suppose she'll need a name.
What about ...Cybil?
[Because hey, something described as "tough" needs a tough name.]
no subject
[Naturally, Harry's name suggestion comes as no surprise (given both his pre-established naming patters for his Pokemon as well as the stories he'd told using Cybil's name before) and gets a smile out of Heather.]
I think that sounds pretty fitting.
[A bird of prey-- tough, intelligent, a hunter. All things that fit Cybil.]
no subject
Merry Christmas sweetie.
