That's good. I'm sure they were worried sick.

There's nothing more terrifying to a parent then their child going missing.

Wouldn't want to imagine it. [He's watched three of his 'children' have buttons sewn into their eyes, trying to comfort them as a father would. Then he's watched her eat them.

[No. That would be more horrifying and heartbreaking. True and utter terror is running around looking for your child and having no idea where they are.]

[He doesn't know that of course. But the talk of sewing buttons into kids eyes and kidnapping and "otherworlds", doesn't make him trust the man. Even if he does seem well meaning.]

Well, you've got us in those departments. We had robots, nanomachines, clones, cybernetics...basically if it's some from of advanced science, we probably have it.

We didn't have that. Luckily. I don't think I could have fought a giant robot with a steel pipe.
